Hiking trails, mountain bike trails and peaks \u2026 All perfected by its wonderful and stable climate, which accommodates the practice of these sports even in winter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you want to take the opportunity to discover the most natural side of Benidorm? If you’re a camper you can’t miss it. In this post, we’ll show you the four best hiking routes in Benidorm<\/strong>, so be sure to discover every nook and cranny!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hiking routes and Benidorm<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We’ll show you the most common ones, but we also want you to discover routes that lead to more hidden and equally incredible places. These are our recommendations!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Routes in the Serra Gelada<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As it could not be otherwise, the Serra Gelada<\/strong> is the most famous and valued. A mountain range that merges with nature and without leaving aside incredible views and postcards of the Mediterranean. The sea is always present, no matter how far you go into the mountains. Here you’ll find everything you’re looking for in a day’s hiking but with unique Costa Blanca touches. For example, small coves, large cliffs and emblematic locations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although, as we mentioned, you can find routes through the mountains, the most common and main route runs parallel to the sea. The path follows the coast<\/strong> at all times. We recommend you start the route at the Mirador de la Cruz de Benidorm<\/strong> and head towards Alfaz del P\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Rutas<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Depending on the routes you choose, you will walk between 7 and 11 kilometres. If you are not used to doing this kind of route, you can map out your route the day before to better plan your day. And\u2026 What will you come across? Well, the iconic lighthouse of El Albir, the old Roman mines of Ocre, an old 17th century watchtower and the prehistoric settlement of Cova Gel\u00e0. This is not all, but the rest? You’ll have to discover it for yourself!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Route around Puig Campana<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A more complicated route than the previous one and more demanding, so it requires a good physical condition<\/strong>. It is the second highest mountain in the province of Alicante with more than 1,400 metres of ascent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Rutas<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

To reach the peak, you must start from the municipality of Finestrat.<\/strong> The path is not adequately signposted in all sections, so you should have Google Maps on your mobile phone and a clear idea of the path you want to follow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most common route is a circular route of about 12 kilometres that starts at the Font del Mol\u00ed and passes through the Bancal del Moro to reach the summit. For the descent, your objective is the Coll de Pouet and continue along the Sendero de la Umbr\u00eda. Get ready for a long day in the mountains!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Route to Torres Beach<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This is a 180-degree turn from the previous route. It has a much more accessible route<\/strong> for everyone and is closer to the sea. You must get to the nearby cove of Finestrat and start walking in the direction of Playa de Torres, in the municipality of Villajoyosa. You can’t get lost on the path, which is signposted as “La Colada de la Costa”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is a very common route in summer, as you can liven up its almost 10 kilometres with a swim in the coves that accompany it. These coves are not overcrowded and you will also see emblematic places such as the Torre\u00f3n del Aguil\u00f3, built in the 16th century.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Forat de Bernia and a special route<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A route close to Benidorm, although you will need a vehicle to get to the starting point, Bernia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a route parallel to the Mediterranean<\/strong>, with unique views and a clear objective. The route we recommend is the one that leads to the hole or El Forat<\/strong>. What is it? It is a narrow and peculiar passageway of more than 20 metres that ends with a wide panoramic view of the sea in its entirety, perfect for photography lovers!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
